Power Juju
Solar is one of the hottest trends in today’s residential construction markets. There are many people looking to jump into a greener lifestyle. It is possible to nearly completely eliminate your electrical bill without sizing the system to incorporate everything in your home. But you will need to keep in mind that in the event of a power outage the system will not run everything in your home.
The electrical system is will have its own panel and the solar system will have another separate panel that will feed the circuits from the solar system. A good rule of thumb is to take into consideration everything that you would want to have in the event of a power outage. Should the electricity from the utility company happen to go out. In this event you will still have the ability to function using energy created from your solar system. Walk through your home and make an inventory of everything that you would not be able to live without. Basically luxury items that might not be necessary. Be certain at the top of your you have any type of cooking appliance wells, some lighting in a few receptacles spread throughout the home are all covered. That load should be calculated by adding the wattage of all the components together. If your target system still has more room left on it then look at adding in some of the extra luxury items.
Should a large storm sweep through your area or other outside influences have an effect on the power system much as the power outage of 2003. You will be able to live your life in a relatively comfortable manner.
