Should I buy my boy a drum kit?
He’s 12, very active and well coordinated, and he plays the trumpet in the school band. My only close neighbor is on the side of the house opposite where the drums would be. I don’t think the noise would bother anybody, at least not during reasonable hours.
I’d rather have him banging drums than playing video games for hours, I think. Can he do all right without a lot of formal training? Are there computer aids that could help him learn?
He has a friend that plays violin, another that plays trombone, another that plays guitar. Would this be fun for them?
i would think so, everyone in my band 7-9 grade they always wanted drums. Plus, even now in high school, most of my friends find the drums the “coolest”
